About

The hike, set for June 8th, 2025, will not only raise crucial funds for this incredible cause, but also celebrate the strength of individuals facing personal health challenges.

The event will be particularly meaningful for one participant, who has been directly impacted by the care provided by Naomi House and Jacks Place. His fiancée’s son received exceptional care at the charity's facilities, an experience that has left a lasting impact on the family. This deeply personal connection to the charity adds an emotional dimension to the hike, as the friends seek to honor the memory of the loved ones lost, and to ensure that Naomi House and Jacks Place can continue their life-changing work.

The hike is also another challenge taken on by a men’s mental health walking group, which seeks to break the stigma surrounding mental health issues and encourage open conversations among men. This group will not only walk for the cause, but also use the event as an opportunity to foster brotherhood, support, and connection in a safe, welcoming space.

For the participants, walking 26 miles is a formidable challenge, but one that will be taken on with determination and heart. With many of them motivated by personal reasons, including the participant currently waiting to be added to the kidney transplant list, this hike will be a powerful display of perseverance, community, and hope.

Naomi House and Jacks Place offer vital services to families who are facing the unimaginable. They provide expert care, emotional support, and a safe haven for children and young adults living with life-limiting conditions. The funds raised through this sponsored hike will ensure that the charity can continue to offer these services free of charge, as well as support their efforts to improve the quality of life for families in their care.

We are encouraging the public to get involved by sponsoring the efforts and raising awareness of this incredible cause. Donations can be made online, with all funds going directly to Naomi House and Jacks Place.

As the event draws nearer, we are filled with a sense of purpose, knowing that every step we take will contribute to a cause that holds deep personal meaning and help create a brighter future for the children and families supported by Naomi House and Jacks Place.
